This role is for a Mechanical Engineering Intern, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to an innovative research project.
• Summary:
Molekule is seeking a driven and curious Mechanical Engineering Intern to join their team. The intern will contribute to a cutting-edge research project that bridges materials science, heat transfer, and robotics. This position provides an excellent chance to gain hands-on experience while collaborating with experienced engineers and researchers.
• Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on an innovative research initiative specifically focused on mechanical systems and performance.
• Engage in hands-on experimental work, which includes setting up experiments, collecting data, conducting tests, and analyzing the results.
• Assist in the refinement and troubleshooting of test setups, with a particular emphasis on diagnosing and resolving critical technical issues.
• Operate and support the use of a FANUC CRX20 collaborative robot system, including performing basic programming tasks.
• Document findings, contribute actively to technical discussions, and propose process or design improvements where applicable.
• Requirements (Qualifications):
• Must be currently pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Possess a foundational knowledge of heat transfer principles and material characterization techniques.
• Have exposure to robotics systems and a basic understanding of robot programming (experience with FANUC is a plus).
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Must be comfortable working in a lab-based environment and capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with CAD software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
