Job Description, Detailed
The position is for a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op to join the team in Troy, MI. The Co-Op program is specifically designed to provide college students with a hands-on learning experience and an accurate view into the field of engineering design.
As a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op, your primary role will be to provide assistance to engineers and designers on various design projects. Throughout the term, your responsibilities may include:
• Working with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant tools.
• Contributing to building design and/or renovation projects.
• Preparing calculations for a variety of building systems.
• Potentially, working in the field to conduct field surveys and dimensioning of existing systems alongside engineers and designers.
Requirements for the position include:
• Currently working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Enrollment in an accredited four-year college.
• A basic understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• A minimum GPA of 2.7 or higher.
• Demonstrated interest in Architectural Engineering/Engineering Design.
• AutoCAD or Revit experience is considered a significant plus.
