Job Description: Mechanical Engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC)

This position is located in Orlando, Florida and offers a flexible work schedule with comprehensive benefits. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a large engineering network, working on cutting-edge technologies for both existing and new development platforms across diverse domains like aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, healthcare, and homeland defense. The role is within a matrix organization, offering exposure to multiple programs throughout your career.

Responsibilities:

• Support the conceptual and detailed design of advanced hardware throughout its lifecycle, utilizing dynamics and structural analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines within Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sub-Contracts organizations.
• Apply research to the planning, development, and testing of new aerospace and related products.
• Work independently to develop advanced technical principles, techniques, and concepts.
• Demonstrate proficiency in dynamic/structural analysis, finite element analysis, structural/vibration testing, and test correlation.
• Possess knowledge of relevant software, including ANSA, Nastran, Abaqus, NX, FEMAP, Patran, and HyperMesh.

Travel: Domestic and international travel may be required to visit customer and supplier sites. Telecommuting options may be available depending on daily tasks.

Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship is mandatory. An active Department of Defense Secret clearance is required, or the ability to obtain one. Approval to work on Special Access Programs (SAP) may also be necessary.
