What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Ownership: Take full P&L ownership of a category end-to-end, driving vendor strategy, negotiating multi-million-dollar deals, and making critical pricing, selection, and profitability decisions that directly impact the customer experience.
• Product Development: Define comprehensive product roadmaps, launch customer-facing experiences, and develop the necessary leadership influence to drive outcomes effectively across teams without direct authority.
• Operations Management: Lead buying strategies, optimize supply chain performance, and strategically align cross-functional operations with Amazon’s overarching long-term objectives.
• Leadership Development: Participate in Enterprise Challenges sponsored by VPs, receive executive mentorship, engage in cohort-based development, and build AI-enabled capabilities and operating mechanisms that create lasting value.
• Strategic Building: Thrive in ambiguity, ask the right questions, influence across organizations, and leverage AI as a strategic advantage, rather than just a productivity tool, to create something better for customers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an MBA program, specifically for the 2027 MBA Leadership Development Program (MLDP), with an anticipated graduation date between December 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027, or having graduated within the past 24 months, preparing for enterprise leadership.
• Experience: 3+ years of full-time industry work experience, which occurred between undergraduate graduation and prior to starting an MBA program, OR 3+ years of military work experience prior to starting an MBA program. This experience should include strategic financial management, P&L ownership, or business development, alongside translating data and customer insights into strategic business decisions.
• Skills: Possess product-minded curiosity, analytical judgment, learning agility, and a long-term orientation toward creating something better. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally, lead through ambiguity, and view AI as a strategic advantage.
• Bonus: A background in retail, e-commerce, supply chain, or product management; proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau.
