Job Description:

This is for the Matthews Sales Training Program, an unpaid training opportunity strictly for education and learning purposes, explicitly stating that no employment or agent relationship is created by participation in these programs.

The objective of participants is to learn the commercial real estate sales process by leveraging the company’s innovations and technology platforms. The role requires an individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, collaborative environment, learning alongside a Market Leader and Senior Sales Associate.

Trainee Experience / Qualifications (What you will learn and do):

• Gain knowledge on how to utilize marketing to increase customer numbers and profitable revenue from existing clients.
Observe and learn diverse sales and marketing activities, including direct and channel selling, telemarketing, lead generation, participation in trade organizations, cold calling, and other business acquisition and maintenance techniques.
• Acquire a basic understanding of revenue responsibilities, including the concept of reaching sales quota.
Develop skills to identify, qualify, develop, and execute strategies within target accounts, and to introduce new products/services.
• Gain expertise in identifying and establishing relationships within critical market segments.
• Learn MREIS’s value proposition and selling points.
• Develop the ability to identify promotional opportunities, provide demonstrations, and outline features and benefits of company products/services.
• Learn to maintain regular contact with a large database of clients and prospects.
• Undertake other opportunities as designated by Management.

Requirements (What you need to bring):

• Currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in sales is preferred (but not required) to maximize the training experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
• A strong desire to learn about the commercial real estate industry.
• Capable of thriving in a team environment.
• Possess strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be detail-oriented.
• Show the ability to remain flexible and team-oriented in a fast-paced, highly competitive business environment.
