Material Program Manager | Raytheon

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Raytheon, located in El Segundo, CA, and requires onsite presence. Raytheon, part of RTX, is a leading aerospace and defense company with over a century of experience, delivering solutions to help nations defend freedoms and deter aggression. This role is crucial for managing the full supply chain scope for critical radar solutions, ensuring material availability, cost control, and schedule adherence to meet program commitments.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, El Segundo, CA
• Pay: $118300–$224900 yearly
• Team: Supports STaRS (Strategic & Tactical Radar Solutions) within Material Program Management, partnering with Program Manager and cross-functional leaders.
• Mission: Accountable for the full supply chain scope for STaRS, managing all material needs from the front end of the business through contract execution and closure.
• Tech Stack: SAP

What You’ll Actually Do
• Partnership: Partner with the Program Manager and all Cross-Functional leaders to ensure execution of AOP, on-time delivery, and material coverage for program commitments.
• Strategy: Be responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of all program material strategies, plans, and supplier risk mitigation activities.
• Forecasting: Establish and drive material sales forecasting for assigned programs and product lines, including managing FEOTB activities related to MRP planning and EAC reporting.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with Program Operations Managers, Cross-Functional leads, and the Supply Base to manage risks, opportunities, and drive cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Proposals: Support proposal activities including Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation, material pricing inputs, and RFQ planning and execution with specialists and buyers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and 5 years prior relevant experience in a supply chain role.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years experience in a supply chain role, with demonstrated experience in Material Sales forecasting, Risk & Opportunity management, Material Estimates at Completion (EACs), or Earned Value Management (EVMS).
• Skills: Material Sales forecasting, Risk & Opportunity management, Estimates at Completion (EACs), Earned Value Management (EVMS), U.S. Citizenship (required for security clearance).
• Bonus: Knowledge and experience in Export/Import Compliance requirements, experience using SAP, familiarity with government regulations (e.g., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA), knowledge of manufacturing processes across the product life cycle, or supplier management experience.
