About the Job Description
Job Title: Matchday Internship 2025
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Overview:
FC Tulsa is seeking motivated individuals for a Matchday Internship for the 2025 USL Championship season. This role is part of the partnerships and game day operations team and will work directly with the Manager of Partnership Services & Operations. The primary focus of the internship is on the planning, implementation, execution, and evaluation of event operations. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in sports management, event planning, and operations within a professional soccer environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the setup and breakdown of game day facilities, including stadium signage, banners, promotional materials, and equipment.
• Engaging with fans before, during, and after matches to provide assistance, answer questions, and enhance their overall experience.
• Supporting the execution of in-game promotions, halftime activities, and sponsor activations to boost fan interaction and brand visibility.
• Providing exceptional customer service to fans, partners, and other stakeholders by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally and promptly.
• Supporting the coordination and execution of special events hosted by FC Tulsa.
• Assisting in coordinating and fulfilling game day partner assets, broadcast assets, community events, and social media assets.
• Performing administrative support tasks.
• Evaluating and coordinating equipment rentals for FC Tulsa events.
• Assisting in ensuring FC Tulsa home matches comply with USL and local operating protocols.
• Building and editing event guides.
• Assisting in credential management.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Candidate must be physically located in Tulsa or the surrounding area, as the position requires an in-person presence.
• Enrolled in a college or university program, with a preference for fields such as sports management, marketing, hospitality, or related disciplines.
• Possession of strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a customer-service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, according to the team’s game schedule.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong passion for soccer and a desire to pursue a career in the sports industry.
