This role involves assisting on events and match days for Hartford Athletic, with a focus on ensuring smooth operations and event execution.
Key Duties & Responsibilities include:
• Field & Equipment Management: Ensuring the proper placement of equipment for the playing field and technical area.
• Sponsorship Activation: Setting up and breaking down sponsor field signage.
• Ceremony Coordination: Assisting with pre-match and halftime ceremonies to ensure matches start and resume at designated times.
• Parking Operations: Setting up, running, and breaking down parking lots on match days.
• Event Coordination & Communication: Working with security forces and runners, and communicating with the press box.
• Official Support: Providing game officials with any necessary assistance before, during, or after matches.
• Timeline Compliance: Assuring compliance with match timelines and overall match day information.
• Team & Referee Management: Notifying the home team, visiting team, and referees to ensure they take their positions on time for pre-match ceremonies, introductions, and the second half.
• Community & Supporter Engagement: Assisting in the preparation and attendance at Watch Parties and other Supporter events.
• Venue Development: Assisting in outreach efforts to bring non-soccer events to Dillon Stadium.
• Ad-hoc Support: Performing other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Club.
Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge and interest in sports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette.
• Over 90% availability for Hartford Athletic home matches and outside events.
Requirements:
• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and eligible for college credit, or willing to volunteer.
• Availability to work all home match days, including nights and weekends, and often under inclement weather conditions. A typical match day can begin as early as 12:00 PM and extend until 12:00 AM or later.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
