Intern – Masters in Social Work | The BridgeWay
The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship at The BridgeWay, located in North Little Rock, AR. The BridgeWay is a behavioral health hospital that provides a continuum of services for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing behavioral, emotional, or addictive problems. This role is crucial for developing future mental health professionals who will help individuals reconnect with their families and friends to lead productive lives. Interns will train with a compassionate and dedicated team committed to providing essential support to the community.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Undertake supervised training: Participate in structured learning experiences within a behavioral health hospital environment.
• Collaborate with professionals: Engage with a multidisciplinary team including board-certified psychiatrists, licensed clinical therapists, nurses, and mental health associates.
• Support patient services: Contribute to the continuum of care for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing behavioral, emotional, or addictive problems.
• Develop professional practice: Build practical skills under the guidance of experienced mental health professionals.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position for individuals actively enrolled in a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) program.
• Experience: Enrollment in a master’s in counseling or social work related field internship program; must be from a school with an active affiliation agreement in place with The BridgeWay.
• Experience: Ability to clear background checks, references, and AR Maltreatment screening, and gain state approval to work with the patient population.
