Job Description: MarketSite Events Team Intern
This internship is a 10-week program within Nasdaq’s MarketSite Events Team, located in modern offices in Times Square, New York City. The team supports and collaborates with internal business partners to manage and execute events and meetings for listed and newly listed companies and clients at the Nasdaq MarketSite.
This internship will focus on providing support for guests at daily Opening and Closing bell ceremonies and events at the Times Square headquarters. This is a client-facing role that requires a passionate and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment. You must be a team player, extremely proactive, and always put clients first.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet guests arriving with a warm welcome, congratulate them on company milestones, provide directional support, and offer a fond farewell as they depart.
• Meet with Event Specialists prior to each client’s arrival to review program details, solidify an understanding of the event’s purpose, keys to success, and potential challenges. This includes reviewing host materials, agendas, guest lists, and Monday.com information.
• Shadow Event Specialists to gain an understanding of different Nasdaq event types (bell ceremony, board meeting, investor/analyst day, conference, meeting, cocktail reception, dinner, etc.).
• Contribute to executing photo opportunities and managing bell viewing requests.
• Support the team in booking last-minute MarketSite Opening/Closing bell ceremonies (often with only 24-48 hours’ notice).
• Assist with administrative projects.
Qualifications:
• 1 year of experience or interest in event planning, hospitality, client experience, marketing, and/or broadcast production.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with a client-facing demeanor.
• Strong decision-making ability and workload management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and develop marketing project timelines (from start to finish), with the capability to identify obstacles early and provide solutions.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Helpful Experience:
• Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Monday.com.
Internship Program Requirements:
• Must be a rising senior enrolled full-time for the upcoming semester in an accredited college or university, on track to graduate.
• 10-week commitment, starting in June.
• Available to be in the office 5 days a week.
