Job Description: Marketing Summer Intern
NRGCO is seeking a dynamic Marketing Summer Intern for a 10-hour per week internship, running June-August 2025 (with flexible dates). The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Responsibilities: This internship offers a blend of email marketing, social media management, and content creation tasks:
• Email Marketing (80%): This is the primary focus. Responsibilities include writing engaging email copy for marketing campaigns, creating and managing email campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp, developing branded email templates, and conducting interviews with employees to create compelling employee profiles for both internal and external communication.
• Social Media Marketing (20%): Assisting with the management of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) is a key component. This involves contributing to content creation and scheduling, and monitoring channels for engagement and trending topics.
• Content Creation: The intern will shadow client projects to understand client needs and outcomes. Based on this, they will write insightful content pieces that reflect client work and experiences. Collaboration with the team to ensure alignment with marketing goals and strategies is also expected.
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging copy.
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp preferred).
• Basic understanding of social media platforms and trends.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Photography or video editing skills are a plus.
