The Tone:
This is a non-paid internship at Shop ONline New York, located fully remote. Shop ONline New York is deeply committed to delivering online retail experiences and is refining its offerings in preparation for a major market launch. This role is critical as it involves master-level planning and orchestration to develop the entire go-to-market strategy for the company’s significant upcoming launch. The Marketing Strategist Intern will craft a comprehensive marketing plan that aligns perfectly with optimal launch timing and subsequent scaling.

The TL;DR

• Mission: This person will develop the go-to-market strategy, ensure all marketing elements are primed for success, and synchronize diverse marketing initiatives to achieve commercial objectives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Holistic Strategic Planning: Develop a complete marketing strategy that defines core channels, precise messaging, and the optimal timing for the major product launch.
• Launch Master Execution: Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure marketing efforts are fully integrated with overall business goals and product readiness.
• Campaign Coordination and Integration: Plan fully integrated campaigns, coordinating the execution of social media, email marketing, paid advertising, and strategic content marketing initiatives.
• Performance Monitoring and Refinement: Define crucial KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of planned marketing activities and continuously refine strategies using data-driven insights.
• Stakeholder Communication and Advisory: Serve as a primary marketing advisor to senior leadership, presenting clear strategic plans, progress updates, and potential tactical adjustments.

• Background: Student with a proven understanding of strategic marketing principles, particularly within the digital/e-commerce landscape.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to conceive and outline long-term, multi-stage, integrated marketing and communication plans.
• Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills; excellent communication and presentation skills; familiarity with core marketing tools for data analytics, social media management, and campaign automation.
