Job Description: Marketing Intern – Engagement & Retention
This internship focuses on engagement and retention campaigns across multiple channels, including email, push notifications, SMS, and in-app messaging. The intern will oversee the execution of lifecycle marketing initiatives, from conception and deployment to testing, analysis, and optimization. The ideal candidate is passionate about building data-driven marketing programs with a strong customer-first approach.
Job Responsibilities:
• Execute strategic channel programs (email, push, SMS, in-app marketing, and promotional campaigns) to drive revenue growth and engagement for product launches, promotions, cross-sells, and up-sells.
• Assist in performance tracking and reporting for all lifecycle channels.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and track customer lifecycle behavioral data.
• Design and conduct A/B and multivariate testing to analyze subject lines, creative content, cadence, segmentation, and timing.
• Collaborate with the ESP (Email Service Provider) to clarify requirements for the development team.
• Manage marketing automation to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
• Work with the Development Team on maintaining and improving web analytics and tagging methodologies.
Qualifications (Required):
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 0-1 year of experience developing lifecycle programs (email, push, SMS, in-app, site, etc.) in an enterprise-grade ESP is preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience in segmentation, targeting, automation, and A/B testing.
• Understanding of customer conversion, re-engagement, and retention strategies.
• Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, GTM).
• Ability to build consensus, negotiate, and persuade using data.
• Strong Excel and SQL skills with HTML proficiency.
• Customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications (Preferred):
• Familiarity with Asian brands.
• Experience with Iterable.
• E-commerce or online retail experience.
• Experience working with development teams, project management, and agile marketing.
