Job Description: Marketing Intern – Data Analytics & Marketing Operations

This internship position is designed for a detail-oriented and motivated individual looking to gain hands-on experience in data analytics, marketing operations, and B2B marketing within the staffing and talent solutions industry.

As a Marketing Intern, your primary focus will be on data analytics and marketing operations, providing essential support to both the marketing and sales teams. A key aspect of the role involves ensuring the seamless flow of data across various systems and leveraging this data to generate actionable insights that drive business impact. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys research, organization, and working with data to achieve tangible results.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Research & Sales Support:
• Pulling data specifically for sales research purposes and building targeted prospecting lists.
• Researching target companies and contacts to ensure that all information is current and accurate.
• Mining CRM data to identify past customers and updating their details for subsequent sales follow-up.
• Creating Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) within the CRM system and facilitating their handover to the sales team.
Market Research:
• Pulling relevant market reports and creating concise summaries for salespeople.
• Analyzing market trends and providing insightful observations that contribute to business development strategies.
• Conducting research on company and contact information upon specific requests from the sales team.
Data Operations:
• Cleaning, formatting, and editing large lists of data using tools like Excel or Google Sheets.
• Uploading these refined lists into email marketing platforms such as HubSpot and Active Campaign.
• Ensuring the accuracy of all data and maintaining compliance with established company standards.

Qualifications:

• Currently working towards or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related academic field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including skills in sorting, filtering, and formatting data. Experience with pivot tables is preferred.
• A genuine interest in marketing operations, sales enablement, and data analytics.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and email marketing tools is a plus, but not a mandatory requirement.
