About Bay FC:

Bay FC is the first NWSL team in the Bay Area, co-founded by U.S. Women’s National Team legends Brandi Chastain, Aly Wagner, Danielle Slaton, and Leslie Osborne, in partnership with global investment firm Sixth Street. Beginning play in the 2024 season, Bay FC is dedicated to changing the face of women’s soccer. Position Summary:

The marketing team at Bay FC is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Marketing Intern to assist with content creation, campaign execution, and cross-functional marketing initiatives. This is a 10-week, part-time internship (12-20 hours per week) based in our San Francisco office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with occasional evening and weekend event support. The internship runs from June 9 through August 14.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily operations within the marketing department.
  • Complete department-specific projects and administrative tasks.
  • Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns across digital channels.
  • Collaborate with creative, ticketing, partnerships, and community teams.
  • Support event marketing and promotions, including on-site activations and engagement strategies.
  • Participate in cohort-wide meetings, workshops, and presentations.
  • Support the planning and execution of external programs, including clinics, community events, nonprofit partnerships, volunteer initiatives, and other marketing campaigns.
  • Serve as an on-site resource for community events, off-site activations, and non-profit engagements.
  • Coordinate meetings with community partners, NGOs, schools, and advocacy organizations; attend meetings and take notes as needed.
  • Support community group logistics such as transportation, credentials, and materials for match day experiences.
  • Track, evaluate, and report on impact metrics; support donation and in-kind tracking systems.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; college enrollment preferred.
  • Required to work occasional evenings and match days.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Well-organized, self-starting, hard-working, detail-oriented, adaptable, and dependable.
  • High-level communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends.
  • Thrives in a team environment.
  • Passionate about Bay FC, women’s soccer, and women’s sports, and willing to continue learning and supporting the organization’s mission, values, and goals.

Compensation:

The compensation for this role starts at $20/hour.

  • Saturday, August 1: Bay FC vs. Seattle Reign, 5:45pm
