The NEON Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of film distribution. The program is designed to be both immersive and collaborative, placing interns on projects that align with their interests and skills. Interns work alongside industry veterans who are passionate about nurturing the next generation of filmmakers and industry leaders.
## Marketing Intern Responsibilities
This internship provides a comprehensive experience in marketing and promotional activities for NEON films. Responsibilities include:
• Creating graphics for marketing assets: Design visual materials to support marketing campaigns.
• Assisting with social media campaigns and calendars: Manage social media content and schedules for current and upcoming films.
• Brainstorming and creating content for social channels: Develop engaging content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
• Competitive research for marketing materials and campaigns: Analyze competitor strategies and identify market trends.
• Research and reports for the media department: Conduct research and prepare reports for the media team.
• Developing case studies and conducting other research projects: Analyze successful marketing campaigns and conduct research on various topics.
• Generating ideas for marketing campaigns for upcoming NEON releases: Contribute creative concepts for upcoming film campaigns.
• Engaging in grassroots outreach for current and upcoming NEON releases: Develop and execute strategies to reach target audiences.
• Creating comprehensive calendars for major events: Manage event schedules, including award shows, online events, and screenings.
• Assisting in various department projects: Support other departments as needed, including distribution, acquisitions, and publicity.
• Providing support for special events and screenings: Assist with logistics and execution of events.
• Offering general administrative assistance: Provide general support as needed.
## Compensation and Requirements
• Paid internship: Offering a minimum duration of 12 weeks with an hourly salary of $16.90.
• Part-time commitment: Preference given to candidates available 2-3 full days per week (approximately 16-24 hours).
• Location: Primarily based at the NY or Los Angeles office.
• Eligibility: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Skills: Excellent computer skills (Google Docs, Excel), strong social media knowledge, collaborative mindset, cultural literacy, research skills, knowledge of film trends, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong communication and writing skills, proficiency with Photoshop and Premiere.
