Job Description:
This Marketing Intern position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of marketing while working closely with the Marketing Manager to promote the dining program at Southeast Missouri State University.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Research and Planning: Conduct research to understand the needs and preferences of the target market, participate in brainstorming sessions, and help develop marketing strategies.
• Campaign Implementation: Assist in planning, organizing, and hosting events, promote the “Dine on Campus” program, contribute to the development of social media calendars and promotions, and create engaging marketing materials.
• Brand Representation: Act as a brand ambassador for the dining program, participate in marketing audits, and manage signage in various locations.
• Creative Content: Help develop concepts, campaigns, and imagery to effectively communicate messages to the target market. Manage website and social networking profile content.
This is not your typical internship! You’ll be given the chance to spearhead various projects and request assignments to expand your knowledge base.
Requirements:
• Must be majoring in Marketing or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Customer service experience/knowledge.
• Knowledge of social media platforms.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• General interest and knowledge in marketing.
• Knowledge of graphic design tools is a plus.
• Prior marketing related experience is a plus.
