Job Description: Marketing Intern
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative individual to gain valuable experience in the field of marketing. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in promoting the dining program at Plymouth State University.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with planning, organizing, and hosting events
• Assist with the “Dine on Campus” program
• Contribute to social media calendar development and promotions
• Act as a brand representative for Chartwells Higher Education
• Conduct marketing audits and general administrative tasks
• Participate in Marketing Boot Camp
• Survey students to gather marketing research
• Create marketing materials to various specifications
• Manage signage in multiple locations
• Assist in developing concepts, campaigns, and imagery to effectively communicate messages to the target market
• Manage website and social networking profile content
• Attend meetings and other events as required
This internship offers the chance to:
• Gain hands-on experience in implementing and promoting a marketing plan
• Learn how to conduct market research and use it to expand the target audience or increase buy-in
• Master the use of multiple platforms and strategies to effectively promote a brand
Qualifications:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in customer service
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms
• Good to excellent interpersonal skills
• General interest and knowledge of marketing principles
• Familiarity with graphic design tools is a plus
• Prior marketing experience is a plus
