Job Description: Marketing Intern
Location: 3333 5th Avenue Pittsburgh, PA
Schedule: To be determined based on class schedule and business needs.
Pay Range: $15.00 per hour.
General Description:
This role involves working closely with the Marketing Manager to implement and promote the dining program at Carlow University. Responsibilities include:
• Market Research: Conducting research to understand the needs of the target market.
• Planning and Brainstorming: Developing and brainstorming marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Promotions and Advertising: Implementing promotions and advertising across various platforms.
• Project Management: Spearheading various marketing projects and taking on new assignments to expand knowledge.
This is not a typical internship; you will have the opportunity to lead projects and actively contribute to the success of the dining program.
Requirements:
• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer Service Experience/Knowledge: Understanding of customer service principles and practices.
• Social Media Expertise: Knowledge of various social media platforms and best practices.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
• General Interest and Knowledge: Passion for marketing and a desire to learn.
• Graphic Design Skills (Plus): Knowledge of graphic design tools is a bonus.
• Prior Marketing Experience (Plus): Prior experience in marketing is an advantage.
Job Responsibilities (May include any or all):
• Assist with planning, organizing, and hosting events.
• Assist with the “Dine on Campus” program.
• Help develop and promote social media calendars.
• Act as a brand representative.
• Conduct marketing audits.
• Handle general administrative tasks.
• Complete Marketing Boot Camp training.
• Survey students to collect marketing research.
• Create marketing materials to various specifications.
• Manage signage in multiple locations.
• Assist with the creation of marketing concepts, campaigns, and imagery.
• Manage website and social networking profile content.
• Attend meetings and events as required.

• Learn how to create and implement a comprehensive marketing plan.
