Job Description

Job Title: Marketing Intern

Pay: Pay varies by location

Summary:
The Marketing Intern will collaborate directly with the Dining Services team to support and promote various dining programs, events, and initiatives across campus. This role is ideally suited for a student pursuing studies or expressing interest in marketing, communications, or hospitality. The intern will play a crucial role in enhancing student engagement and improving the overall dining experience by assisting with social media management, content creation, event planning, and student outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Creating and scheduling compelling social media content to promote campus dining options and upcoming events.
• Assisting in the planning and promotion of various on-campus food events and campaigns.
• Learning and proficiently conducting surveys to gather valuable student feedback.
• Designing diverse marketing materials, including posters, flyers, and digital graphics.
• Collaborating effectively with the dining services team and various student organizations to significantly increase program awareness.
• Monitoring current marketing trends and proactively suggesting creative, innovative strategies.
• Learning and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of campus meal plans, dining locations, and overall hospitality programs.
• Learning and effectively utilizing the necessary tools and technology to complete daily tasks and projects.
• Performing other marketing or hospitality-related responsibilities as assigned.
• May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field.
• Possession of a strong creative vision and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, crucial for successful promotion and customer engagement.
• Proficiency in various social media platforms and familiarity with basic graphic design tools such as Canva.
