Job Title: Marketing Intern

Summary:
The Marketing Intern will play a crucial role in supporting and promoting dining programs, events, and initiatives across campus, working directly with the Dining Services team. This position is ideally suited for students with an interest in marketing, communications, or hospitality. Key responsibilities include assisting with social media management, content creation, event planning, and student outreach, all aimed at enhancing engagement and improving the overall dining experience for students.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Social Media Management:
• Create and schedule engaging social media content specifically designed to promote campus dining options and upcoming events.
• Design various marketing materials, including posters, flyers, and digital graphics, to support promotional efforts.
Event Planning & Promotion:
• Assist actively in the planning and comprehensive promotion of on-campus food events and dining campaigns.
Feedback & Research:
• Learn and successfully conduct surveys to systematically collect valuable student feedback regarding dining services.
Collaboration & Outreach:
• Collaborate effectively with the dining services team and various student organizations to significantly increase program awareness across campus.
Strategic Development & Learning:
• Monitor current marketing trends and proactively suggest creative strategies to enhance dining program visibility and engagement.
• Commit to learning and maintaining up-to-date knowledge on campus meal plans, dining locations, and overall hospitality programs offered.
• Learn and proficiently utilize the various tools and technology available to effectively complete daily tasks and assigned projects.
General Support:
• Undertake other marketing or hospitality-related responsibilities as assigned.
• May be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the team.

Qualifications:

Education: Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field.
Creative Skills: Possess a strong creative vision coupled with excellent attention to detail.
Communication: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to successfully promote services and engage with customers.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in major social media platforms and basic graphic design tools, such as Canva, is required.
