Job Description: Marketing Intern (Sports Data Storytelling & Marketing Analytics)
This role is for a current university student to join Hudl’s Marketing team, blending two key areas: sports data storytelling and marketing analytics. The intern will divide their time equally between these two exciting fields.
Your Role will Involve:
• Uncovering Compelling Sports Stories: Diving into a vast dataset from millions of athletes and teams to identify trends, generate insights, and translate complex numerical data into clear, engaging narratives for Hudl’s content and PR teams.
• Researching Marketing Impact: Utilizing marketing campaign and channel data to measure effectiveness, report on impact, and provide crucial insights that will inform future marketing decisions and strategies.
• Collaborating Across Teams: Acting as a vital link between data and strategy, working closely with the Marketing, Content, and PR teams to support their diverse needs.
• Making an Impact: Being actively embedded in the marketing workflow and contributing to high-priority projects that showcase Hudl’s unique value proposition and enhance overall marketing effectiveness.
This internship is for candidates who can work from Hudl’s headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska, with an ideal start date of September 22, 2025.
Must-Have Qualifications:
• Strong SQL Skills: Proficiency at an intermediate or higher level, comfortable writing queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases or data warehouses.
• Current University Student: Actively pursuing a degree in data analytics, data science, statistics, computer science, marketing analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Evaluative Mindset: Possessing strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to translate broad questions into specific, answerable data queries.
• Clear Communicator: Able to effectively explain complex data concepts and research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
• Programming Experience: Familiarity with a scripting language used for data analysis, such as Python or R.
• Data Visualization Skills: Experience using a Business Intelligence (BI) tool like Tableau or Power BI to create insightful dashboards and charts.
• Version Control Familiarity: Some experience with Git and GitHub.
• A Passion for Sports: Genuine curiosity about sports and excitement for exploring performance data across various levels of play.

Compensation:
The hourly pay range for this role is determined by the candidate’s academic standing (year in school) at the start of the internship.
• Base Hourly Range: $15 – $15.50 USD
