Summary:
The Marketing Intern will collaborate with the Dining Services team to support and promote dining programs, events, and initiatives across campus. This role is ideal for students interested in marketing, communications, or hospitality. The intern will focus on social media management, content creation, event planning, and student outreach to enhance engagement and improve the overall dining experience.
Responsibilities:
• Content Creation & Scheduling: Design and schedule social media content to promote campus dining options and events.
• Event Support: Assist in planning and promoting on-campus food events and campaigns.
• Feedback Collection: Learn and successfully conduct surveys to gather student feedback.
• Material Design: Create marketing materials, including posters, flyers, and digital graphics.
• Collaboration & Outreach: Work with the dining services team and student organizations to increase program awareness.
• Trend Monitoring: Monitor marketing trends and propose creative strategies.
• Knowledge Acquisition: Learn and maintain knowledge of campus meal plans, dining locations, and overall hospitality programs.
• Tool Utilization: Learn and effectively use available tools and technology for daily tasks and projects.
• Other Duties: Perform additional marketing or hospitality-related responsibilities as assigned, including other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
• Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Creative Skills: Possess a strong creative vision and attention to detail.
• Communication: Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively promote and engage customers.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in social media platforms and basic graphic design tools such as Canva.
