Location: 500 W. University St. Shawnee, OK
Schedule: To be determined based on class schedule and business needs.
Pay Range: $15.00 per hour.

General Description:
As a Marketing Intern at Chartwells Higher Education, you will work closely with the District Marketing Manager to implement and promote the dining program at Oklahoma Baptist University. Your responsibilities will include:
• Market Research: Understanding the needs and preferences of the target market (students, faculty, staff).
• Planning & Brainstorming: Developing creative and effective marketing campaigns.
• Promotions & Advertising: Utilizing various platforms to promote the dining program (social media, print materials, events).
• Implementation: Putting marketing plans into action and overseeing their execution.
This is not your average internship. You will have the opportunity to take on leadership roles, spearhead various projects, and request assignments to expand your knowledge base.
Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service experience/knowledge
• Knowledge of social media platforms
• Good interpersonal skills
• General interest and knowledge in marketing
• Knowledge of graphic design tools (a plus)
• Prior marketing related experience (a plus)
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist with planning, organizing, and hosting events
• Assist with “Dine on Campus” program
• Assist in developing and promoting social media calendars
• Act as a brand representative
• Conduct marketing audits
• Perform general administrative tasks
• Complete Marketing Boot Camp
• Survey students to collect marketing research
• Create marketing materials to various specifications
• Manage signage in multiple locations
• Assist in the creation of concepts, campaigns, and imagery to effectively communicate messages to the target market
• Manage website and social networking profile content
• Attend meetings and other events as required
Learning Objectives:
• Demonstrate awareness, understanding, and skills necessary to work in a diverse environment
• Learn how to create and implement a marketing plan
• Learn how to conduct market research and use it to generate a larger audience or increase buy-in
• Learn how to use multiple platforms and strategies to effectively promote a brand
