Job Description
Position Title: Intern (specifically supporting Digital Marketing and Events)
Location: Primarily Layton, UT office; remote work is also an option.
Business Segment: Human Nutrition and Health Business.
Summary:
This internship within Balchem’s Human Nutrition and Health Business focuses on supporting digital marketing efforts, with a particular emphasis on analytics and reporting. The role also includes assisting with event and trade show organization, offering a unique blend of digital and offline marketing experience. The marketing team plays a crucial role in brand shaping, audience engagement, and driving growth within the company.
Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities):
• Support Digital Marketing & Analytics:
• Assist in data analysis.
• Support reporting of marketing initiatives.
• Contribute to the optimization of marketing efforts.
• Event & Trade Show Organization:
• Manage specific organizational sub-projects related to trade show and event planning.
• Pre- & Post-Show Marketing Communication:
• Support the creation of blogs, e-blasts, and social media content linked to trade shows and events.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with various internal teams, especially in digital marketing and event coordination.
• Administrative & Organizational Support:
• Assist in general marketing operations to ensure the smooth execution of projects and initiatives.
Requirements (Qualifications):
• Education:
• Currently enrolled as a junior in an accredited university.
• OR recently completed a BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Essential experience with Google Analytics and Google Looker Studio.
• Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
• Required familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
• Experience & Skills:
• Previous internship or work experience in marketing or event organization is a plus.
• Comfortable working with reporting templates.
• Ability to support marketing operations in both digital and event-related contexts.
• Ability to assist in pre- and post-show marketing communication through blogs, e-blasts, and social media content.
• Willingness to work closely with cross-functional teams in digital marketing and event coordination.
