As a Marketing Intern with Chartwells K12, you will be an integral part of executing student experience programs, collaborating closely with on-site operations, culinary, and nutrition teams. Your responsibilities will span various aspects of the school dining environment and student engagement.
Key areas of focus include:
• Cafeteria Environment: Working on the décor, signage, and merchandising within the cafeteria to enhance the overall atmosphere.
• Student Engagement: Developing and implementing programs that foster student interaction and participation.
• Nutrition Education: Contributing to initiatives that educate students about healthy eating and nutrition.
• Hospitality: Ensuring a welcoming and positive experience for students.
• Promotions: Planning and executing promotional activities.
A significant part of your role will involve partnering with the school district’s communication team. This collaboration is essential for engaging and informing key stakeholders, including clients, school staff, parents, and students. The position requires excellent communication skills, strong strategic thinking, and a service-oriented approach.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
• Program Execution: Working in partnership with operators and regional support teams to implement marketing programs, ensuring continuous engagement from students, clients, and communities.
• Training and Support: Providing training and support to operators for the successful implementation of student-facing and front-of-house programs, systems, and processes.
• Material Customization: Tailoring marketing materials such as social media posts, flyers, brochures, and client presentations, and coordinating with district communications teams for their execution.
• Market Research: Conducting focus groups to gather insights from students and parents regarding their expectations for the school meal program, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Operational Assessment: Evaluating front-of-house operations to ensure optimal student experience, adherence to operating standards, and the proper implementation of signature programs. You will also work with operators to monitor results and drive improvements over time.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Collecting relevant data and reporting on the return on investment (ROI) and other key performance metrics for marketing initiatives.
