This is an immediate hiring for a Marketing Intern position.

Location: 1910 W University Dr, Boise, ID, specifically at Boise State University. Applications are accepted online only.
Schedule: To be determined based on the intern’s class schedule and business needs.
Pay Rate: The position pays $15.00 per hour.

General Description: The Marketing Intern will work closely with the Marketing Manager to implement and promote the dining program at Boise State University. This hands-on role involves research (understanding target market needs), planning & brainstorming, and executing promotions & advertising across various platforms. It is described as an opportunity to spearhead projects and request assignments to expand knowledge in the marketing field.
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Customer service experience/knowledge.
Knowledge of social media platforms.
Good to better interpersonal skills.
• General interest and knowledge in marketing.
Plus points: Knowledge of graphic design tools and prior marketing-related experience.
• Experience in Event Planning/Execution.
Job Responsibilities (May include any or all):
• Assisting with the planning, organizing, and hosting of events.
• Supporting initiatives related to “Dine on Campus.”
• Aiding in social media calendar development and promotions.
• Acting as a brand representative.
• Conducting marketing audits and general administrative tasks.
• Completing the “Marketing Boot Camp.”
Surveying students to gather marketing research.
Creating marketing materials to various specifications.
Managing signage in multiple locations.
• Assisting in the creation of concepts, campaigns, and imagery.
Managing website and social networking profile content.
• Attending meetings or other required events.
Learning Objectives: The internship aims to help the intern:
• Develop awareness, understanding, and skills for working in a diverse environment.
• Learn how to create and implement a marketing plan.
• Understand how to conduct market research and utilize it for audience growth or increased buy-in.
• Gain proficiency in using multiple platforms and strategies to effectively promote a brand.
Job Summary & Specific Conditions:
• This is a paid position, but it is not eligible for benefits such as medical, relocation, or housing.
• Due to the nature of working in an educational facility, there may be periods (e.g., winter and summer breaks) when work is not required; such periods may be unpaid and considered a temporary layoff.
