Job Description: Marketing Intern

Position Summary:
The Marketing Intern’s primary role is to serve customers by providing product and service information, resolving issues, and acting as the main liaison between Securaplane and its customer base. The intern will work directly with customers to generate product and service orders. This role is crucial for supporting critical customer business workflows, including the order management process (from quote to shipping), customer issue resolution (focused on deliveries through payment), and ensuring contract and business compliance, with a focus on trade export compliance. The position covers both production and repair-related processes and procedures.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and create product-based marketing collateral to support the Sales team’s customer engagement.
• Refresh existing marketing and promotional materials.
• Support the development of Sales presentations and product demonstration materials for product promotional activities.
• Assist with the completion of customer/product capture plans.
• Collect and analyze historical sales and bookings data to understand sales activity by customer, product, region, and segments.
• Utilize sales and bookings data to develop and interpret trend analysis.
• Develop sales and booking reports to identify actual performance versus forecast at the product, platform, and customer levels.
• Review CRM (Salesforce) funnel management and assist the Sales team in maintaining opportunities in their current state.
• Conduct market segmentation utilizing an installed fleet database and present findings to territory sales managers.
• Develop an installed product database by platform.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
• Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. May occasionally require working nights, weekends, variable schedules, or additional hours.

Education: Minimum of 3 years of study towards an undergraduate Marketing or similar degree is required.

Work Schedule: This is a year-round internship. Work hours are flexible, determined by the school schedule and commitments. The intern is expected to work between 12 and 30 hours per week, with up to 20 hours per week during the school year and potential for more hours during breaks and in the summer.
Location Requirement: Candidates must be local to the Tucson/Oro Valley areas.

Skills:

• Capable of resolving customer issues, interpreting customer order requirements, and translating them into company capabilities.
• Experience with high telephone usage and proper telephone etiquette.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is a must.

• Web-based applications and system administration experience; direct Customer portal experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Approximately 80% sitting and 20% standing/walking within indoor Company facilities.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to use head and neck in static positions, looking up/down and side-to-side.
• Ability to perform light lifting from floor, table, and shelf.
• Minimal requirements for heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, or kneeling.
• Minimal exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, or uneven walking surfaces.
• Typing with a computer and keyboard.
