Department: HNH Marketing (Human Nutrition & Health Marketing)
Location: The ideal candidate will reside in Layton, UT, but the company is open to a remote employee.
Position Summary:
Balchem’s Human Nutrition and Health Business is seeking a Marketing Intern to support their marketing team, which is crucial for brand shaping, audience connection, and growth. The role primarily focuses on digital marketing efforts, with a strong emphasis on analytics and reporting. Additionally, the intern will assist with event and trade show organization, providing a blend of digital and offline marketing experience.
Essential Functions:
The Marketing Intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
• Support Digital Marketing & Analytics: Assisting with data analysis, reporting, and the optimization of various marketing initiatives.
• Event & Trade Show Organization: Managing specific organizational sub-projects related to planning trade shows and other events.
• Pre- & Post-Show Marketing Communication: Contributing to the creation of content such as blogs, e-blasts, and social media posts, specifically related to trade shows and events.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely and effectively with different internal teams, particularly those involved in digital marketing and event coordination.
• Administrative & Organizational Support: Providing general assistance within marketing operations to ensure the smooth execution of projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
Candidates for this position should meet the following qualifications:
• Education: Currently enrolled as a junior in an accredited university or have recently completed a BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Essential experience with Google Analytics and Google Looker Studio.
• Knowledge of Power BI is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Outlook is required.
• Experience: Previous internship or work experience in marketing or event organization is a plus.
• Skills & Abilities:
• Comfortable working with reporting templates.
• Capable of supporting marketing operations in both digital and event-related contexts.
• Ability to assist in pre- and post-show marketing communication through various channels (blogs, e-blasts, social media).
• Willingness to work closely with cross-functional teams in digital marketing and event coordination.
