Job Description: Marketing Intern – Community Management
Position Title: Marketing Intern (Community Management)
Location: Hybrid position in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. Requires 2 days per week in the office.
About the Position: The company seeks a highly engaged intern to manage their social media presence, focusing on connecting with brand fans and increasing visibility among curly and wavy hair consumers. This role requires active engagement with the audience across multiple platforms, identifying content opportunities and trends, and providing data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage communications across US and Latin American social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).
• Actively engage with the audience (liking, commenting, responding to messages).
• Implement a rapid response approach to community interactions.
• Coordinate fan outreach and mailers from the DTLA office.
• Identify new content opportunities and trends.
• Track and report weekly and monthly community insights and metrics.
• Provide weekly updates on trending conversations, comments, and complaints.
• Perform other marketing tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
• Must reside in the Los Angeles area and be able to work in the office twice a week.
• Must work at least 18 hours per week.
• Recent college graduate (within 6 months) or currently enrolled junior or senior pursuing a degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong interest in social media marketing and excellent written communication skills (copywriting, editing, proofreading).
• Excellent knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other emerging social media platforms.
• Excellent multitasking and time-management skills.
• 3-month commitment to the internship.
• Passion for curly hair.
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
