Detailed Job Description: Marketing Intern

Position Summary:

B. Braun’s Internship Program offers college and university students (enrolled or recent graduates) a valuable experience in the Life Sciences industry. Interns participate in a finite project determined by their assigned department, gaining practical corporate or operational learning. Projects vary based on departmental needs but all offer meaningful and relevant work experience. Internships are a minimum of 10-12 weeks. Each intern receives a mentor and is required to present their internship experience to their department at the conclusion.

Responsibilities/Intern Assignment Activities:

Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs to support marketing strategies and campaigns.
Data Analysis: Analyze marketing data and metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, product development, customer service) to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining marketing databases, updating contact lists, and organizing marketing materials.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills:

Assignments are routine, following established procedures. Detailed instructions are provided, and work is regularly checked and monitored. Limited independent judgment may be required for problem-solving. Contact is primarily with the supervisor, peers, and subordinates.

Preferred Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge/proficiency in Salesforce preferred.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

Required: High school diploma/GED or equivalent; completion of sophomore year or higher at an accredited college/university; GPA of 3.0 or higher; 0-2 years of related experience.
