Job Description: Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern will provide support to the Consumer Marketing team. The role focuses on assisting in audience development, subscriber acquisition, engagement, and loyalty efforts, leveraging the Inquirer’s journalistic strengths to reach new consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

Support for Marketing Plans: Assist in the development and execution of marketing plans for special editorial projects. This includes note-taking in brainstorming sessions, overseeing tactical implementation, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with objectives, success criteria, and KPIs.
Reporting and Analysis: Regularly report on marketing project goals and KPIs across various platforms. This involves delivering pre- and post-campaign analyses to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Project Execution: Support the execution of key projects on the Consumer Marketing roadmap by working with cross-functional teams, maintaining clear communication, and adhering to established processes.
Revenue Generation: Collaborate on projects aimed at increasing both paid subscriptions and individual donations.
SEM and Paid Social Campaigns: Assist marketing managers in managing SEM and paid social media campaigns focused on driving traffic, lead generation, acquisition, and retention.
Marketing Operations: Execute and manage marketing operations tickets for campaigns, including managing deadlines and trafficking assets to relevant stakeholders.
Quality Assurance: Participate in QA processes such as reviewing test email sends and on-site sales materials.
Calendar Management: Help maintain the team’s marketing calendar, identifying and resolving any scheduling conflicts.
Administrative Support: Assist with invoice processing and administrative tasks related to external partners and vendors.
Intranet Updates: Contribute to regular updates on the company intranet on behalf of the Consumer Marketing team.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of marketing principles, particularly in the digital realm (strategy, tactics, media mix, etc.).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify opportunities, and contribute to achieving business goals.
