Job Description: Marketing Intern at Newport Optical Components Business
Summary:
As a Product Marketing Intern, you will collaborate with Engineering, internal teams, Sales, Customers, and Product Managers to support business marketing initiatives. You will report to the Senior Global Business Development Manager.
Primary Duties:
• Authoring digital and print copy for product and marketing initiatives.
• Coordinating social media marketing content and release schedules.
• Upgrading existing marketing assets such as brochures and catalogs.
• Improving product web pages to increase page views and customer engagement.
• Serving as a member of the Global Market team responsible for the overall marketing program.
• Supporting new product launches with marketing materials.
• Contributing to a team using optics to improve lives.
Requirements:
• Rising senior enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Marketing or a Business program (Business, Accounting, Finance, Financial Marketing, Economics, Advertising, Communication, Sales, Actuarial Science, Supply Chain, Human Resources majors are encouraged to apply). Must be studying at a US university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Knowledge of various social media platforms.
• Basic knowledge of science is preferred.
Compensation:
$22 – $25 per hour.
