Job Description: Internship
This internship offers a chance to work on campaigns for major brands. Daily tasks include a variety of responsibilities, allowing for a well-rounded experience in the communications field:
• Creative Tasks: Crafting written communications (media materials, social media content).
• Research: Analyzing brands using various resources.
• Collaboration & Idea Generation: Sharing ideas in brainstorming sessions and collaborating with teams.
• Planning & Logistics: Assisting with event coordination and logistics.
• Media Relations: Pitching stories to media, developing media lists, tracking placements.
• Monitoring: Tracking brands across traditional and social media.
Required Skills & Qualities:
• Creative Thinking: Thinking outside the box is essential.
• Digital Savvy: Strong understanding of both established and emerging social media platforms, including knowledge of brand strategies and best practices.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with a focus on succinct and compelling messaging.
• Project Management: Ability to meet deadlines, handle unexpected issues, multi-task, and work efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Commitment to accuracy and precision in all work.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with platforms like Hootsuite, Muck Rack, Cision, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Self-Awareness: Understanding of one’s unique strengths and how they contribute to a team.

Requirements:
• College graduate by the start of the internship (February).
• Availability for 40 hours per week from February to June.
• Location: Illinois.
