Job Description: Marketing Intern
This internship offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in marketing and contribute to the strategic growth of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Interns will work on projects that are aligned with the company’s current business needs, providing them with real-world impact. The internship is designed to provide professional mentorship and leadership development opportunities to support future career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with leadership to identify and address areas to improve efficiency and benchmark best practices.
• Become a process owner; critically review specific processes with great attention to detail and recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Learn continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., PPI, Six Sigma) and help promote improvement initiatives.
• Support the execution of marketing/sales enablement initiatives to drive business results.
• Develop automated data loads and schedules to ensure the timeliness of information.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and compile data for various projects.
• Maintain PowerBI and provide reporting support for the system and users.
• Establish measurements and targets based on historic and forecasted data to develop marketing plans, roadmaps, and tactical elements.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate student (rising senior) completing a Marketing or Business-related degree between December 2025 and June 2026.
• 0 years of work experience required, previous related internships preferred.
• Consistent track record of results demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.
• Energetic and driven, championing change and navigating ambiguity.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
Geographic Flexibility:
• Possible locations: Grand Island, NY, Pittsburgh, PA, Asheville, NC, Fair Lawn, NJ, Hillsboro, OR, Waltham, MA, Carlsbad, CA, San Jose, CA
Start Date: May 12th or June 16th, 2025, for a duration of 10-12 weeks, depending on student availability.
Compensation & Relocation:
• hourly rate: $18.50 – $24.50, depending on location (aligned with cost-of-living guidelines).
• Relocation stipend: $5,000 if necessary. (Must be located 50+ miles away from the internship location).
Visa Requirements:
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship for employment visa status.
• Thermo Fisher does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, and CPT Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience.
