Job Description: Marketing Intern – MBA

This summer internship at PepsiCo offers a unique opportunity to tackle real business challenges alongside experienced marketers at one of their three U.S. headquarters locations: Chicago, IL (PepsiCo Foods & Gatorade); Purchase, NY (Pepsi Beverages); and Plano, TX (PepsiCo Foods).

You’ll gain valuable experience by:

Contributing fresh perspectives: Interns are encouraged to think outside the box and provide meaningful, comprehensive business recommendations.
Working autonomously with support: You’ll enjoy a high degree of autonomy while receiving guidance and feedback from your manager, cross-functional partners, and the broader marketing organization.

As a Marketing Intern, you will:

Develop impactful marketing recommendations: Your work will help PepsiCo achieve short and long-term strategic business objectives.
Demonstrate leadership skills: You’ll have the chance to develop and showcase functional ownership, leadership, creative and analytical thinking, consumer empathy, and business acumen.
Gain exposure to best-in-class marketing: You’ll be exposed to renowned brands, campaigns, and marketers through professional development initiatives and mentorship.

Potential Summer assignments include:

Brand strategy development: Developing overall brand strategies, including in-store and online commercialization ideas, to achieve long-term business goals like sales growth, distribution expansion, and profit maximization.
Consumer insights application: Leveraging consumer insights to identify problems, understand target audiences, and inform product, packaging, and communication development.
New product innovation: Building new product concepts and developing innovative launch strategies.
Consumer promotion development: Creating impactful consumer promotions, events, and marketing programs.
Social and digital campaign design: Leveraging insights to design engaging social and digital campaigns, incorporating creative measurement tactics.
Brand positioning and communication: Partnering with agencies to create compelling brand positioning and communication strategies.
Category and competitive analysis: Using data to understand category and competitive dynamics, guiding strategic recommendations for future business opportunities.
