Marketing Intern Job Description

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Marketing Manager to implement and promote the dining program at the University of Florida. It is not a typical internship, allowing you to take the lead on various projects and request assignments to expand your knowledge base. This is an ideal position for anyone interested in pursuing a career in marketing.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning, organizing, and hosting events
• Assist with the “Dine on Campus” program
• Help develop and promote the social media calendar
• Act as a brand representative for Chartwells Higher Education
• Conduct marketing audits
• Handle general administrative tasks
• Complete a Marketing Boot Camp
• Survey students to collect marketing research
• Create marketing materials to various specifications
• Manage signage in multiple locations
• Assist in developing concepts, campaigns, and imagery to effectively communicate messages to the target market
• Manage website and social networking profile content
• Attend meetings and other events as needed

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service experience/knowledge
• Proficiency with social media platforms
• Strong interpersonal skills
• General interest and knowledge in marketing
• Knowledge of graphic design tools is a plus
• Prior marketing-related experience is a plus

• Location: Racquet Club Dining Center, 114 Gainesville, FL
• Schedule: Determined based on your class schedule and business needs
• Pay: $14.00 – $15.00 per hour
