Job Title: Marketing Intern

Summary and Role Overview

The Marketing Intern at Firefly Aerospace will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s overall brand vision through the creation and development of various marketing assets. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience within a dynamic space technology company and build an excellent professional portfolio.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong creative and communication focus, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications, a solid understanding of social and digital media strategies, and strong writing and editing skills. Reporting directly to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, the intern will be integral to the marketing team.

A key aspect of this role involves knowledge and interest in community relations, particularly with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) initiatives, alongside the ability to develop engaging social media assets. Success in this position requires a high degree of creativity, flexibility, and collaboration. The ability to communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural group, coupled with a proactive “can-do” attitude, is absolutely essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage community relations strategy, with a particular emphasis on STEM-related outreach.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of social media strategy, including content development and scheduling.
  • Provide support in the coordination of various events, from planning to execution.
  • Develop and edit diverse communication and marketing products, ensuring brand consistency and messaging effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Master of Arts (MA) program (or be a recent graduate) from an accredited four-year university or college.
  • Willingness to work onsite at Firefly Aerospace facilities in Central Texas, in a hands-on and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates strong detail-orientation, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining focus on common goals.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.

Export Control Requirements

To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
