Description
The Marketing & Communications Intern will contribute to the communications, marketing, and branding strategies for the 2025 National Cherry Blossom Festival. This includes various programs and events.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Content Creation: Drafting written, graphic, and video content for website, social media, and email campaigns.
• Media Monitoring: Assisting with media monitoring, campaign tracking, and social media monitoring.
• Presentations: Creating PowerPoint presentations for events.
• Event Support: Assisting with the execution of Festival events.
Specialization Options:
The Festival encourages interns to focus on a particular specialty, such as photography, design, video, social media, website management, media monitoring, or campaign tracking. Based on their interests and experience, the internship can be tailored to offer a valuable hands-on learning experience.
Time Commitment:
The Festival seeks an intern available for both Fall AND Spring semesters for maximum value and experience. However, those interested in working only one semester (Fall or Spring) are welcome to apply. Event execution support depends on the intern’s availability. Interns are asked to commit to at least one full semester.
• Fall Semester (September 9, 2024 – December 2024): 10 to 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 10 AM and 5:30 PM.
• Spring Semester (January – June 2025): 10 to 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 10 AM and 5:30 PM.
• Peak Months (March and April): Evening and weekend availability may be required for key Festival programs and events.
Location:
The internship is in-person.
Compensation:
The internship is unpaid, but college credit may be offered. A travel allowance is provided for those working at least 10 hours a week on-site.
