Job Title: Marketing & Communications Intern
Type: Unpaid / College Credit
Location: Hybrid or In-Person Preferred
Reports To: Director of Digital Marketing (Remote)

Description:
The Marketing & Communications Intern will provide essential support for the Chippewa Steel’s brand messaging, game-day promotions, sponsor activations, and community outreach. This role combines event support with written communications to actively shape the public voice and image of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and distribute press releases and event summaries.
• Support fan promotions and sponsor activation during game nights.
• Assist with the planning and execution of theme nights and team appearances.
• Help coordinate community engagement and various outreach efforts.
• Capture content during events, especially if on-site.

Supervision & Approval:

• All communication and marketing materials produced require explicit approval before release.
• The intern will participate in weekly virtual check-ins and collaborate with the team using shared tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• A keen interest in public relations, sports marketing, or event coordination.
• Comfortable working independently while receiving remote guidance.
