This is an opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Intern at LiveOnNY.
• Job Title: Intern, Marketing & Communications
• Department: Marketing & Communications team
• Reporting To: Senior Director Marketing and social media
• Employment Model: 3 days in office (hours flexible)
This internship offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about storytelling, digital media, and mission-driven work. The intern will gain hands-on experience in social media, content development, and marketing operations, contributing to sharing powerful, life-saving stories. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of brand marketing, social media, and digital marketing strategies, coupled with an interest in high-impact projects.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in the marketing cycle, focusing on positioning, messaging, and storytelling.
• Capture short-form video content using a smartphone for both social media and internal use.
• Edit video content tailored for multiple platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Assist in developing compelling stories related to organ donation and transplant recipients.
• Support email list development and campaign management.
• Perform general administrative duties, such as scheduling, file organization, and research.
• Help brainstorm and create social and digital content to engage diverse audiences.
• Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure consistent messaging.
• Be committed to and participate in continuous process improvement at every level.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Education and/or Experience (Required):
• Completion of at least 2 years in a Bachelor’s program.
• Background in communications, journalism, marketing, public health, or nonprofit work.
• Skills (Required):
• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
• Organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• A strong sense of teamwork and the ability to execute programs.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and hardworking.
• Experience/Skills (Preferred):
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, or similar tools.
• A proactive desire to go above and beyond role requirements.
• Basic knowledge of marketing principles and industry trends.
• Proven aptitude in seeking creative solutions to multi-faceted challenges.
Salary Range: $20-$25 per hour.
