Role: Marketing and Public Relations Assistant (unpaid internship)

Overview: The company is seeking a knowledgeable, reliable, and responsible individual to assist with marketing and public relations. This is a hands-on position for a self-starter who can take initiative or follow directions on projects.

Work Location:
Going Mutts office, 53 N. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602

Preferred Hours:
In-person: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday | 10:00 am – 2 pm
As needed: Friday and Weekends | for trade shows

Compensation:
• This position is unpaid, with opportunities for “puppy love” in return.

Must Have Qualifications:
Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or a related field.
Marketing Knowledge: Basic understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing tools.
SEO & Analytics: Understanding of SEO and Google Analytics is a must.
Trends: Understanding of current trends in marketing and social media.
Social Media: Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook.
Content Creation: Experience with content creation (graphics, video, blogs, etc.).
Email Marketing: Knowledge of email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot).
Google Workspace: Proficiency in Google Workspace.
Design Software: Experience with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication.
Creativity: Creativity and attention to detail.
Time Management: Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Initiative: Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
Collaboration: Team-oriented but capable of working independently.

Appearance: Professional appearance in person and online.
Photography: Good photography skills.
Phone Etiquette: Excellent phone etiquette.
Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Driving/Parking: Must be comfortable driving, parking, and walking in the city.
