Job Description

This is an unpaid internship position for a Marketing and Public Relations Assistant. The role is designed for a self-starter who can take initiative or follow directions effectively, rather than performing simple administrative tasks. While occasional coffee runs might occur, the primary focus is on substantive marketing and public relations work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting with various marketing and public relations initiatives.
• Content creation, including graphics, video, and blogs.
• Engaging with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook).
• Working with email marketing tools.
• Utilizing SEO and Google Analytics for marketing efforts.

Work Location and Hours:
Primary Location: Going Mutts office, 53 N. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602 (in-person).
Preferred In-person Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday | 10:00 am – 2 pm.
As Needed: Friday and Weekends for trade shows.

Must Have Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of marketing principles and digital marketing tools.
Understanding of SEO and Google Analytics is a must.
• Understanding of current trends in marketing and social media.
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook.
• Experience with content creation (graphics, video, blogs, etc.).
• Knowledge of email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot).
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Experience with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
