Marketing Intern | Fast Forward

The Tone:
This is a remote Marketing Intern position at Fast Forward, open to candidates located in San Diego County, with mandatory on-site event support during key periods. Fast Forward excels at creating joyful experiences through culinary, beverage, lifestyle, and tourism-based events, connecting passionate audiences with brands, people, and places that shape memorable experiences. The company has a dynamic team that produces nationally recognized events such as the San Diego Food + Wine Festival. This internship offers hands-on experience across multiple marketing disciplines, providing crucial exposure to both creative marketing strategies and the operational systems essential for bringing campaigns and events to life, making it a pivotal learning opportunity.

• Mission: Support marketing campaigns for attendee acquisition, exhibitor engagement, and sponsor programs, contributing to the successful execution and growth of large-scale events.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Campaign Execution: Assist with the creation, execution, monitoring, and reporting of automated marketing campaigns designed to engage prospective attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and partners.
• Business Development Support: Support prospecting and lead generation efforts through meticulous research, comprehensive list building, and targeted outreach activities.
• Stakeholder Marketing: Assist with sponsor, exhibitor, and partner marketing programs, including essential stakeholder communication, asset coordination, fulfillment of marketing deliverables, and campaign reporting.
• Content and Digital Asset Management: Create and update marketing and sales graphics using Canva, while also assisting with website updates, social media content development, and other promotional materials.
• Event Operations and On-site Engagement: Provide critical on-site marketing and event support at Fast Forward events, encompassing attendee engagement, registration assistance, content capture, and sponsor fulfillment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience utilizing Canva or similar design software for creating marketing and sales graphics.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated writing, proofreading, and editing abilities; highly detail-oriented, reliable, punctual, and professional with strong organizational and deadline-driven time management skills; comfortable with adapting to new technology platforms, marketing tools, and proficiently using AI-powered tools for research and content creation support.
