Remote Summer Marketing & Branding Internship | Candy Stripers®
The Tone:
This is a remote internship at Candy Stripers®, one of America’s most iconic youth volunteer programs, with a rich legacy rooted in service, leadership, and community care. As the program embarks on its reintroduction to a new generation, this role offers college students a vital opportunity to directly support its marketing and digital storytelling efforts during the Summer 2026 session. Interns will gain hands-on experience in a fully remote environment, supported by clear expectations and creative guidance, all while contributing to a mission-driven youth volunteer and community outreach initiative. This experience is designed to be learning-focused, helping students build practical skills and gain exposure to nonprofit branding and youth program development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Create: Develop a variety of branded digital assets and engaging social media content specifically designed to appeal to and inform a new generation of volunteers and community partners.
• Develop: Craft compelling visual storytelling pieces that effectively highlight the positive impact of youth volunteer initiatives and their broader community contributions.
• Organize: Systematize marketing content and actively assist with the introductory planning phases for upcoming digital campaigns and outreach efforts.
• Ensure: Meticulous adherence to established brand identity standards and guidelines across all created digital and visual content, maintaining a consistent program voice and image.
• Produce: Generate a robust portfolio of ready-to-use marketing work, all developed within the practical context of nonprofit branding and youth program objectives, providing a tangible collection of professional achievements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, actively pursuing a major in marketing, communications, branding, digital media, or a closely related academic field. Candidates must also be eligible to receive college credit for their participation in this internship program.
• Experience: Possess a demonstrated and genuine interest in community outreach, youth programs, or broader nonprofit initiatives. Basic familiarity and practical comfort with content creation tools, specifically mentioning Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or Figma, are required for effective execution of tasks.
• Skills: Exhibit strong organizational abilities, unwavering reliability, and proactive responsiveness, demonstrating the capacity to manage tasks independently and collaboratively within a fully remote work environment.
