Marketing and Communications Support Intern

This is a part-time, 8-week internship opportunity starting on Monday, September 16, 2024, and ending on Friday, November 8, 2024. The position requires 20 hours of work per week, primarily during mornings, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

Editorial Calendar Management: Research and develop an editorial calendar, identifying key dates, trends, holidays, events, and industry opportunities, including event and award opportunities.
Feature Story Support: Assist in the identification, research, writing, publishing, promotion, and metrics tracking of feature stories for various purposes, including product marketing, internal communications, news releases, social media, and customer stories.
Visual & Multimedia Support: Contribute to graphic design work and maintain a strong understanding of Rigil’s branding guidelines and standards.
Creative Brainstorming: Brainstorm and contribute creative ideas to effectively reach both internal and external target audiences.
Organization & Upkeep: Support the team by keeping track of pending deadlines, adhering to branding and messaging standards, and assisting with internal requests for marketing and communications support.

Skills Needed:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related discipline.
• 1 year of demonstrated experience in school work, internships, or jobs (prior experience in a corporate communications team environment is a plus).
• Proven marketing and communications experience (samples will be requested).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with social media management and graphic design.
• Experience with research and writing.
• Understanding of AP style.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail.
