Job Description:
Job Title: Market Analyst Journalist
Responsibilities:
• Weekly: Write a column analyzing the business side of entertainment across all sectors, providing insights into the impact of decisions made by executives and boards. This includes examining mergers & acquisitions, market values on stock exchanges, and profiling media founders, executives, and companies.
• Special Coverage: Write occasional analyses of market reports and audience demographic data.
Qualifications:
• Aptitude/interest in writing about the business side of the entertainment industry.
• Aptitude/interest in analyzing market data.
• Critical and intellectual thinking skills to write fact-based analyses.
• A background or journalistic skillset in business, finance, or economics.
• Target demographic understanding: The Market Analyst Journalist will cover entertainment industry-related content for the site as it relates to _A Hot Set’s_ target demographic.
Details:
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months
• Location: Virtual (Residents of Metro Los Angeles and New York City are strongly encouraged to apply, but a specific location is not required.)
• Compensation: Unpaid internship, but provides valuable writing experience.
