Job Description:
A Hot Set is seeking a Market Analyst Journalist to contribute to their site, covering entertainment industry-related content with a focus on their target demographic (people of color). This is a virtual, unpaid internship for six months, offering valuable writing experience.
Responsibilities:
• Weekly Column: Write a column analyzing the business side of the entertainment industry across all sectors. This involves providing readers with an inside look at the impact of decisions made in C-Suites and boardrooms, examining mergers & acquisitions, market values on stock exchanges, and profiling media founders, executives, and companies.
• Special Coverage: Write occasional analyses of market reports and audience demographic data.
Qualifications:
• Aptitude/interest in writing about the business side of the entertainment industry.
• Aptitude/interest in analyzing market data.
• Critical and intellectual thinking skills for fact-based analyses.
• A background or journalistic skillset in business, finance, or economics.
