Description: Manufacturing Planner (Early Career)

Location: Arlington, TX (DFW area)

What You’ll Do:

• Work within the Production, Planning and Control organization as a Scheduler, Make, Buy, or Bill of Materials (BOM) Planner.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with departments such as quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and contracts administration.
• Schedule and expedite the movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.
• Travel and/or communicate with all production sites and vendor locations.
• Work outside of normal operating hours as needed.

Basic Currently pursuings:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Demonstrated proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs.

Desired Skills:

• Inventory Control and material handling knowledge.
• Experience with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists.
• Knowledge of the Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Security Clearance:

• This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
• Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedule:

• 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
• Part-time Remote Telework: The employee will work part of their schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
