Job Title: Manufacturing Planner, Production Planning and Control

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly organized and collaborative individual to join our Production Planning and Control organization as a Manufacturing Planner. Our team is pivotal in driving program planning and manufacturing operations to achieve business objectives. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our production processes while developing your skills in supply chain management and manufacturing operations.

This is an Onsite Full-time position located in Orlando, Florida, requiring work to be performed at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Basic Qualifications

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related major. Candidates without a degree must possess equivalent professional-level experience/combined education in supply chain/logistics.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Manufacturing Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing program planning and manufacturing planning activities. Your key focus will be on ensuring effective management of production schedules, material procurement, and workflow prioritization within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Monitoring and managing production schedules, material procurement, and workflow prioritization.
  • Coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain management.
  • Ensuring data integrity within the MRP system and efficient management of kit issues and hardware needs.
  • Implementing and managing engineering and process changes.
  • Providing timely status reports and analyzing production data to inform critical business decisions.
  • Working collaboratively with manufacturing supervision and industrial engineering team members to prioritize workflow.

Desired Skills

  • Degree from an accredited college in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field; or possess business SAP ERP experience.
  • Prior experience with Buy Planning, Manufacturing, and/or Make Planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple levels of management, industry partners, peers, and a represented workforce.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS).
  • Experience with Inventory Control and material handling, including material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas.
  • Ability to obtain Green Belt certification.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and parts lists.
  • ASCM Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs.
  • Very good organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
